Mr. Kaufman graduated from “The Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine” at Montclair, NJ as well as from New York University with a Masters Degree in Health Education specializing in Human Sexuality.

In addition to these degrees, Mr. Kaufman is also a Credentialed Addictions Counselor as well as a member of The National Acupuncture Detoxification Association.

Mr. Kaufman is versatile in a variety of acupuncture techniques including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Japanese and Trigger Point therapy. Further, Mr. Kaufman has studied Tui Na (Chinese massage), Sotai (Japanese physical therapy), moxabustion, cupping, guasha and auricular (ear) acupuncture.

Outside the field of acupuncture, Mr. Kaufman has served in a variety of clinical positions including Director of the Adolescent Unit at New Hope Foundation and as the Addictions Coordinator at the East Mountain Youth Lodge, part of the Carrier Clinic.

Mr. Kaufman’s experience in a wide variety of settings, therefore, enables him to bring a unique perspective to the care and treatment of his patients.
